There are towns and communities in our wonderful country, where people cannot read, or write.
I live in one such community. It is Rocky Mount North Carolina. Yes, in America, there are towns in American where
a vast portion of the community cannot read or write a letter of the alphabet .
members of the community cannot get a job.
members of the community are embarrassed to ask for help.
Even a basic skills education is too advanced.
The goal of DAZE OF INNOCENCE is to take care of this dilemma … to teach basic reading skills … to teach basic writing skills. To teach life skills such as cooking, home making and even job readiness, filling out applications. Starting with one community at a time..one person at a time…improving one life at a time…
The belief is …”Give a man a fish, you feed him for a meal… Teach him to fish, and you feed him for his entire life.”
